Lateral Flow

Latex Reagents & Kits
Lateral flow is a diagnostic method widely used for the detection of specific antigens or antibodies in a given sample. This technique is based on the principle of immunochromatography, where a sample migrates along a membrane by capillary action. The membrane is pre-coated with antibodies or antigens conjugated to visible labels, such as colloidal gold or colored latex. When the target analyte is present, it binds to these conjugates, forming a visible line on the test strip. Lateral flow assays are commonly applied in medical diagnostics, including infectious disease detection, due to their simplicity, rapid results, and suitability for point-of-care testing.
